How to keep your nails looking fresh and beautiful longer

Infection Factsheet

At ProfessioNail, we pride ourselves in our level of professionalism, safety and hygiene. However, infections can still happen due to a multitude of reasons

What we do? 

  • Rigorous cleaning schedule - daily, weekly, and monthly

  • Use of disposable kits and liners

  • Implement strict sterilisation and disinfection procedures



  • Pain, swelling, and tenderness around the nail

  • Skin that is red and warm to the touch

  • Pus that builds under the skin

  • A white/yellow and pus-filled abscess may form.


Infections can be caused by:

  • Lifting or breaking of artificial nails

  • Cuts, broken skin, or hangnails

  • Ingrown nails

  • Irritation from water or chemical

  • Trauma to the nailbed or cuticle area - e.g., accidents, nail-biting

What to do?

  • Soak the infected area in warm water for about 15 minutes a few times a day.

  • Make sure to keep the infected area thoroughly dry after soak or showers.

  • Seek medical attention from your provider.

Not satisfied with your service?

At ProfessioNail, we value our customers and appreciate hearing how we can improve and better support you in the future. We strongly encourage our customers to raise any issues to our Store Manager immediately so they can happily assist and rectify the matter.


Our Customer Policy allows customers to return to the store within 7 days of their initial service if they are not satisfied with the quality of their service. If found accountable, the store will fix/re-do your nails to your satisfaction.

  4. A copy of your payment remittance - this could be a receipt or screenshot of the bank transaction.
